Already as a small child I fell in love with the stage. I started playing the instruments guitar, piano and drums, but at the age of eleven I discovered my passion for singing and dancing, later as well as acting. Although I have mainly performed in musicals, my heart beats most for dance. The intensive training in my youth at the Performing Center Austria was not enough for me, so I took part in additional training sessions and workshops on the side.
For me the stage is simply my bread and water.
‘We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.’ (Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche)

Achim Himmelbauer spent the first years of his life in Vienna. In Eisenstadt he got to know the love of dance. At the age of 15 he decided to try a professional career. He was accepted into the Young Talents Program at the Performing Center Austria. He then took up studies in Commercial Dance at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, for which he also received a confirmation with distinction. In order to further develop his performing and singing talents as well, he returned to the Performing Center Austria in Vienna to study at the Performing Academy.
His stylistic diversity can be seen in the roles he has performed so far, including in the operetta “Sissy” by Fritz Kreisler (Tabor Castle), the buffo opera “Die schöne Helena” by Jacques Offenbach (Tabor Castle), the ballet “Feuervogel” by Igor Stravinsky and a danced version of “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff (Klagenfurt City Theater), in the musical “Frankenstein junior” by Mel Brooks (Theater Bonn) or in the tango opera “Mariá de Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla (Vienna Chamber Opera).
